The Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) holds a meeting for two hours with Vice Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama at City Hall, Thursday (4/10), to discuss the finding of deviation case in Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) program.

We meet Mr. Basuki to deliver the finding of deviation case in KJP program, where 16.4 percent of KJP recipients are not right on target ,” stated ICW’s Public Service Monitoring Division Coordinator, Febri Hendri.According to Hendri, Basuki responded well of ICW’s finding and promised to fix the validity of the KJP system and data to achieve, so KJP recipients would right on target in the future.
In addition, ICW also suggests Jakarta Provincial Government to investigate KJP recipients’ accounts and increase the amount of KJP funds by Rp 3 trillion. For the last matter, Basuki stated agree but it needs approval first from the Jakarta Parliament (DPRD).
KJP program is dedicated to students from underprivileged families in Jakarta by giving them a sum of money every month to meet their needs, such as for school uniforms, shoes, books, stationery, transportation, extracurricular activities, and supplemental nutrition.
